Lucille Ferenchak

Lucille Ferenchak, 92, of North Catasauqua, died Nov. 28, 2023, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Ferenchak for 63 years.

Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Kovach) Butler.

She was a graduate of St. Anne’s High School, Lansford. She earned a nursing degree from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing, Allentown.

She was a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing, Allentown. She worked for Catasauqua physicians Dr. Dewar, Dr. Harvey and Dr. Bowen and for Devon House until she retired.

She was a lifetime member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and belonged to the seniors group.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Kay and husband Eric Koetteritz and Eileen and husband Richard Lang; a son, Edward and wife Marge Suranofsky; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard; and two sisters, Helen and Mary.
