The Kreidersville Covered Bridge Association is hosting a Christmas tree lighting, set for 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at 100 Covered Bridge Road.

The rain date will be Dec. 10.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served, and a basket raffle will be available. There will be a bonfire to keep you warm, and a special person will be there to visit with the children.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, is planning to hold a three-for-one event 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 9. The event will include a basket raffle, cookie/dessert sale and indoor yard sale.

A portion of the proceeds - 10% - will benefit 3-year-old Sammy with his cancer treatment.
