Accident
Three motorists were hurt, one seriously, when their cars collided in a crash which pushed one vehicle onto a guide rail near the intersection of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:10 a.m. Nov. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. First responders extricated one motorist, of Freemansburg, from his vehicle. The Freemansburg driver was traveling southbound on South Cedar Crest Boulevard while the other two drivers, one of Douglassville and the other of Pottstown, were northbound. The Freemansburg motorist drove off the right side of the road, over corrected, entered the northbound lane and collided with the vehicle driven by the Douglassville motorist, pushing the car into a guide rail, according to authorities. The Freemansburg motorist’s vehicle then struck the vehicle driven by the Pottstown motorist before driving up and onto a guide rail. All three drivers were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. The three vehicles were towed from the crash. Stews Tire Center, Emmaus Fire Department, Lower Macungie Fire Department and Macungie EMS also responded.
Theft of motor vehicle
A silver 2006 Toyota Corolla was removed from a residence along Hauser Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 41-year-old female, of Center Valley and a 42-year-old male, of Slatington, were charged with retail theft after allegedly removing merchandise from retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:33 a.m. Sept. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspects were arrested after state police troopers stopped a silver sport utility vehicle seen driving from the store.
Theft
A designer wallet, valued at $200, as well as $80 cash were removed from a purse while the owner was shopping at a location on Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:24 a.m. Oct. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone removed a wallet from a purse while the purse’s owner was shopping in a store along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township and took $374 cash from the wallet before discarding it in an aisle elsewhere in the store between 11:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Oct. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A package containing a cellphone, valued at $1,200, was removed after it was delivered to a location along Cold Spring Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 2 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A political campaign sign was removed from a location along Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 30. The sign may have been taken Oct. 28.
Identity theft
A resident of Hauser Road, Lower Macungie Township, was notified by her bank’s fraud department of a request from New York City to open two credit card accounts using her name and personal information, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The request was denied by the bank, according to authorities. The incident was reported Nov. 7.
A resident of Clearbrook Road, Upper Milford Township, learned someone accessed the resident’s airline loyalty account and used $1,605 worth of reward miles, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 19.
A resident of Jewel Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned someone attempted to transfer $9,000 from the resident’s bank account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 8.
A resident of Bluesky Place, Upper Milford Township, learned his personal information was used to open an AT&T account, purchase an item and have the item delivered to a vacant address, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 13.
Assault
A 13-year-old male was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital after two witnesses saw someone allegedly push the teen from a vehicle headed southbound along Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:21 p.m. Oct. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The teen was not injured, according to authorities.
Criminal mischief
A pumpkin was smashed against a mailbox at a residence along Jasper Road, Upper Milford Township, sometime between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The mailbox, valued at $53, was damaged.
A rear window was found broken at a residence along Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 29. The window may have been broken between Oct. 26 and Oct. 28, according to authorities.
Theft from vehicle
A catalytic converter was removed from a vehicle parked at a location on North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 1.
Theft of services
A 66-year-old female, of Macungie, had her hair done at SmartStyle hair salon, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township and allegedly left the store without paying the bill for $185.91, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Found property
A black Motorola handheld radio was found in the area of 5940 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Anyone with information concerning the radio may contact state police at 610-395-1438.

A green Motorola cellphone in a red and black case was found near the Lower Macungie Township building, Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, Oct. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A person was charged with harassment after allegedly expressing vulgar and lewd comments at another person at a polling station along Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:44 p.m. Nov. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
