Former Liberty High School field hockey players, Ellie Powers and Jazmyne Frack, were one game away from a reunion in Newport News, Va., when their respective college teams played in the NCAA Division III field hockey tournament this November.

Powers is a junior midfielder/defender for Babson College in Massachusetts, and Frack is a freshman midfielder/forward for Kean University in New Jersey.

Both schools reached the NCAA Final Four where Babson lost to Middlebury College, Vt., and Kean lost to Johns Hopkins University, Md.

Powers played in 23 games for the Beavers, who won 16 straight and finished 22-2 this season, and had a goal against Clark University.

Frack played in 18 games for the 14-6 Cougars, including 10 starts this season.

Middlebury won the NCAA tournament with a 2-0 victory over Johns Hopkins on Nov. 19.
