East Penn School District treats senior residents to Thanksgiving luncheon

East Penn School District Golden cardholders, bus drivers and crossing guards enjoyed feasting on turkey with gravy, potato filling, seasoned green beans and pumpkin pie at the district’s annual Thanksgiving Luncheon Nov. 16.

The culinary event featuring Thanksgiving fare at Lower Macungie Middle School was also held at Eyer Middle School and Emmaus High School.

National Junior Honor Society eighth grade members waited tables, as well as serving as greeters and parking attendants at the middle schools. National Honor Society members took up those duties at the high school. School choirs provided diners with musical entertainment.

At LMMS, the Cadence Choir saluted veterans with “We Say Thank You” and soloist Natalie Iwans kicked off “Thank You” in tribute to the upcoming holiday.
