Rudy F. Lopez, 72, of Zionsville, died Sept. 20, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Maritza A. (Alvarado) Lopez for 52 years. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Esteban and Aurea (Figueroa) Vasquez.

He retired from Stanley Vidmar and worked for 30 years owning his own business, the Zionsville Antique Mall.

He donated his time to inner city kids at Ring 23 and eventually opened his own boxing gym in Allentown, called the 7th Street Gym. He was a boxing coach at Lehigh University.

He assisted with Spanish Ministries at various churches and attended Salem Bible Church, Macungie.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and his pet bulldog, Ruby. Most of all he loved sharing his faith with others.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Rudy Jr. (Tara), Mark (Susan); daughter, Melissa (Daniel) Weigner; grandchildren, Alexis, Alaina, Ava, Mia, Gavin, Landon, Cristian, Sloane; brothers, Wilburt, Esteban Sanchez; sisters, Rosaura, Elisa Fuentes, Mariana Figueroa, Iliana Ramos. He was predeceased by brothers, David, Ramon; sisters, Judy, Milagros.

Arrangements were made by the Weber Funeral Home, Allentown.
