Johann Valentin Haidt’s painting, “Nativity of Christ”: discovered and purchased by the Archives in 2020, and was then conserved. Conservator Steven Erisoty will speak about the conservation treatment, its challenges and the discoveries he made. Graphic designer and artist Heather Reinert will look at the artistic elements of the painting and uncover parallels with other early-modern artists and their work. Moravian archivist Paul Peucker will speak about the discovery and validation of the painting. Live and streamed for the public at 4 p.m. Registration required. Shop With A Cop: Colonial Regional Police Department Christmas Holiday program in conjunction with Chick-Fil-A, Red Robin and Walmart. Benefits children within our two municipalities whose families have faced hardship during the year. Volunteer officers and a Santa helper will pick up children in a police cruiser and take them to breakfast, go shopping for presents for their families and one for themselves, wrap presents and have lunch.

Stuff the Bus: Bethlehem Area School District’s transportation department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for ‘Toys for Tots” and nonperishable food items and personal hygiene supplies to benefit local nonprofit organizations. Donations drop off hours: 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 24 at the yellow school bus, Bethlehem Square parking lot, Linden Street/Route 191. Buses will be at SteelStacks, near Christkindlmarkt, 101 Founders Way, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 1, 8, 16 and 17 and from 5 to 8 p.m. through Dec. 15. Look for the yellow school bus at each location.
