Earl L. “Jay” Kichline Jr. of New Tripoli, died on Nov. 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He and his loving wife Pearl (Mosser) Kichline, were married 33 years in June.

Born Aug. 17, 1956, in Northampton, he was a son of the late Earl and June (Kates) Kichline.

He attended Faith Evangelical Free Church.

The highlight of his and his wife’s life was going to China to bring home their daughter, Serena.

A graduate of William Allen High School, he worked for PennDOT for 25 years and previously was employed in carpentry and homebuilding construction.

After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, making furniture in his wood shop and taking care of the buildings on their farm.

He had fond memories of going on day trips with his wife and daughter, and enjoyed photography, bird watching and gardening.

In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by siblings Cleo and her husband, John Demidont, Karl, Adam and his wife, Karen; and nephews and nieces.
