Thankful families

PRESS PHOTOS BY DONNA GEWERTZ From left, the Rauhauser, Sankari and Wilbur families enjoy a meal together with Sheckler Elementary School students during the school's annual Thanksgiving meal, held Nov. 16 at the 251 N. 14th St., Catasauqua, school. The popular tradition welcomes family members to join their Sheckler Elementary children in the school cafeteria during lunch periods. This year's meal included roast turkey and gravy, potato bread filling, corn, dinner rolls and ice cream.
The annual Thanksgiving meal coincides with the school's food drive, which collects food for those needing some assistance over the holidays. The food drive is staffed by the helping hands of Sheckler students, from left, Landon Kline, Mason Bernard, Zoey Swartwood, Adriana VanNote and Roman Garcia.
Thankful to be best friends are kindergarten students, from left, Kallie Johnson, Hope Elizabeth Mammana and Kyla Johnson.
