Catasauqua: Senior center to hold bingo Nov. 26

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., West Catasauqua, will be holding its next bingo Nov. 26. The start time of the cash bingo is 1 p.m., with doors opening noon.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game, etc. There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a nonperishable food item for Whitehall Food Pantry.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will hold its Christmas cash bingo Dec. 3. The kitchen and doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.

Kitchen volunteers will be selling snacks, bingo favorites, soda, water and iced tea. Other than BYOB, no outside food or beverages are permitted.

There will be 15 games, six specials and a jackpot round. Seating is first come, first served. Additional game sheets and specials will be available for purchase. Bring your daubers, but no hard boards.

Catasauqua will be having a stained glass tour featuring five churches, two private residences and the Dery Mansion. The tour is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. Dec. 3.

Properties on the tour include St. Mary’s Church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua; Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., Catasauqua; Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua; St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, 1239 Third St., North Catasauqua; Lathrop home, 616 Second St., Catasauqua; First Presbyterian Church, 613 Second St., Catasauqua; Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, Catasauqua; and the Dery Mansion, 520 Fifth St., Catasauqua.

The Dery Mansion will also feature a hot glass display by Banana Factory artists.

A blue flag marks each property on the tour. Your brochure is your ticket and can be purchased on the day of the tour at any of the churches or buildings on the tour.

The event is a joint effort of the churches of Catasauqua and North Catasauqua boroughs and the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association, led by Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church.
