Volunteer opportunities

Seeking friendly volunteers to help at the admissions/museum store register for America On Wheels Museum, Allentown. Training is available and simple. Shift times are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Choose one day per week or per month. Urgent need for the fourth Sunday of every month. Camelot for Children is seeking event planning help so they can continue enriching the lives of children with special needs through free, year-round social and educational activities. Partner with staff and board members to coordinate planning, resource needs, event marketing, on-site oversight and post-event debrief for the annual fundraising event, “Bring in the Magic Gala,” to be held in April 2024 at The Vault in Allentown. Share the joy of the holiday season. Volunteers needed to lead guests to see the Trees of Historic Bethlehem: The Finer Things exhibit offered through early January 2024. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites will display 25 festive trees decorated by members of the Bethlehem Garden Club. Training and script provided. New Bethany has opportunities to help assemble kits for the 26th annual Luminaria Night! This is a great opportunity for groups and school students to volunteer together. Volunteers will help assemble kits consisting of candles, sand and paper bags 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Nov. 30 at Promenade Shops, (near LL Bean). Cheerful, festive volunteers are needed to help make the annual holiday party a great experience for the children and families served at The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Services. This year’s party will be held 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 9 in Macungie. The party theme is “Pancakes and Pajamas.” If you are a group and would like to help in a creative way, reach out to discuss opportunities. Minimum age to volunteer is 15 with adult. In search of experienced volunteers to organize a committee to run the 2025 K-9 Officer Calendar fundraiser. Release date scheduled by K9 Kop Project for Sept 2024. The 10th annual Winter Light Spectacular is here. This important fundraiser for the Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville, is scheduled in the evening for various dates through Dec 31. Volunteer opportunities include character attendants and escorts; photo booth and fire pit assistants; candy wheel; crafts and activities; VIP room attendant; and regular zoo clean up.
