Abigail Wieder Initiated

Abigail Wieder, of Bethlehem, was recently initiated into the Millersville University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society in September.

Initiates must be sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate/professional students in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars and embrace the society’s ideals.

Mason joins CACLV staff

Winslow Mason has been named Community Action Lehigh Valley’s racial and ethnic justice director. Mason will be at the helm of our SHE, Generation Next and Color Outside The Lines programming.

SHE, which stands for “self-esteem, health, education,” is dedicated to empowering 4th-8th grade girls in the Allentown and Bethlehem area school districts. This after-school program is designed to cultivate healthy relationships, build teamwork and promote academic success. Additionally, Mason oversees Generation Next, an initiative aimed at bridging educational disparities and enhancing college readiness, access and completion across the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton districts.

Area media personnel honored with Emmys

Award-winning ASR Media Productions (ASR Media) received two 2023 Mid-Atlantic Emmy® statues for work that aired between April 1, 2022 and March 31. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the honorees during a ceremony on Oct. 14, at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square in Lancaster.
