Catasauqua Area School District’s Catasauqua Community Cares Program is having a winter-coat distribution for students 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 18 at the district administration office, 201 N. 14th St., Catasauqua. Proof of residency is required.

Sheckler Elementary is hosting a canned food drive. The school will be accepting all nonperishable canned or boxed food that will be donated to Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

CASD is celebrating the 100th Turkey Day game against Northampton Area High School.

There will be events held Nov. 19-23, such as a bonfire set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at Sheckler.

CASD will be closed Nov. 23-27 for Thanksgiving break. Normal schedules will resume Nov. 28.

CASD is looking for a K-12 food service position. The position will run 8 a.m.-1:45 p.m. weekdays, August to June. Salary is set at $14.52 per hour.

Sheckler is looking for a noncertified instructional aide for a yearly 191-day position. The aide will support and assist the academic, behavioral, emotional and physical needs of students in both regular and special education classrooms.
