Salisbury Township schools recently finished its first marking period and parent/teacher conferences are upon us. If you have not scheduled yours, please do so on SignUp Genius or contact your child’s teacher.
Due to conferences, Salisbury Middle School will have 12:15 p.m. dismissals Nov. 17, 20 and 21. Salisbury Elementary School will have 1:15 p.m. dismissals Nov. 16, 17, 20 and 21.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 22-27, returning to school Nov. 28.
The first winter concert of the season will be the high school performance 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the high school auditorium.
Christkindlmarkt, the ultimate Christmas shopping experience for unique and homemade gifts opens Nov. 17. Located at the PNC Plaza at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, it will be open every weekend through Dec. 17. For hours, pricing and rules, visit www.Christmascity.org/christkindlmarkt.
Also at Christkindlmarkt, they hold a breakfast with St. Nick 8 a.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16. The event includes breakfast, a photo opportunity and arts and crafts. Tickets are required and can also be purchased at www.Christmascity.org/christkindlmarkt.
Leaf collection is underway in the township and will continue through the beginning of December. Please place your leaves (no branches) along the side of the road to make it easier to vacuum. Check the Salisbury Township website to see where the crews will be working each week.
The Salisbury Yard Waste drop-off sites are only open for two more weeks. The Franko site will be open Nov. 16 and 18. Devonshire will be open Nov. 20 and 25. These are the last days the sites will be open until spring. As always, hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
