Rose Liggitt, 81, of Hellertown, formerly of Allen Township, died Nov. 4, 2023, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Oliver E. Liggitt Jr.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Marlin and Louisa (Cresswell) Heisler.
She was a 1960 graduate of Northampton High School.
She was last employed in custodial services for Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, until retiring. She was a longtime member of the church, where she sang in the choir and was instrumental in the baby nursery for more than 35 years.
She is survived by five daughters, Darlene K. and husband John Andreas of Northampton, Vicky E. and husband Allen Lee of Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada, Angelene of Bethlehem, Donna M. and husband Rodney Pursell of Bath and Diane M. Gebhard of Palmerton; a son, Oliver E. III of Point Phillips; a daughter-in-law, Kelly of Allentown; 16 grandchildren, Johnny with Gretchen, Kristy with Josh, Lauren, Marleigh with Ryan, Morgan, Sydney, Madison with Michael, Rachael, Jordan Andrew, Timothy, David, Jordan Ashley, Marlin, Shyann, Tallon and Wyatt; and five great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Weston, Harper, Maddux and Oliver.
She was predeceased by a son, Glen; and a brother, Earl “Buddy” Heisler.
