Kathy Ann Schuessler, 67, of Emmaus, died Oct. 30, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the loving wife of Bruce C. Schuessler. Born in Plainfield, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jacqueline (Matthews) Nichols.
She graduated from Douglass College with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and its Stitch and Chat Group. She was a talented quilter and knitter and was a member of numerous quilt guilds and groups.
She was a member of Longwood Gardens and traveled extensively throughout the world on cruises.
She is survived by daughters, Allison L. and her husband, Michael Hayes, of Selinsgrove, Meredith S. and her husband, Brian Whitty, of Springfield, Va.; granddaughter, Madeline Whitty; brother, Paul Nichols and his wife, Fonda, of College Station, Texas; sister, Susan and her husband, Kenneth Harber, of Atlantic Highlands, N.J.
Contributions may be made in her name to the church or Second Harvest Food Bank, 6969 Silver Crest Road, Nazareth, 18064.
A combined Celebration of Life service will be held for Bruce and Kathy 10 a.m. Dec. 2 in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
