Bruce C. Schuessler, 73, of Emmaus, died Nov. 5, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Kathy Ann (Nichols) Schuessler. Born in Norwich, N.Y., he was the son of the late O.P. “Jim” and Luella (Isackson) Schuessler.
He graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
He was a professional engineer and worked for PPL for 39 years, retiring in 2012.
He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
He was an avid golfer, member of the BMW Owner’s Club and enjoyed his garden.
He was a member of Longwood Gardens and traveled extensively throughout the world on cruises.
He is survived by daughters, Allison L. and her husband, Michael Hayes, of Selinsgrove, Meredith S. and her husband, Brian Whitty, of Springfield, Va.; granddaughter, Madeline Whitty; brothers, James, of Fort Worth, Texas, Jonathan and his wife, Nancy, of Atlanta, Ga.

A combined Celebration of Life service will be held for Bruce and Kathy 10 a.m. Dec. 2 in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, 18049. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
