Upper Milford Township supervisors prepare for the 2024 budget

“I’ve reviewed it and I’m delighted to see that it’s balanced,” Upper Milford Supervisor Chair Joyce Moore said about the draft budget, during Oct. 19 meeting of the board of supervisors.

There was a motion to advertise the 2024 budget Nov. 2 and discussions will follow.

A motion to accept the preliminary plans approval at The Fields at Twin Run development was adopted.

This follows weeks of discussion between the township and developers, including recent presentations. The homeowners association will take over 1.37 acres of land to make a walking path.

In other meeting news, Jasper Ridge parking was subject to a discussion as it pertains to “No Parking” restrictions.

One of the issues brought by a few residents who addressed the board was not realizing the distance of the communal parking to their homes, especially around Benjamin Court.

One resident told the supervisors, “Plans are approved with the best intentions and when people move into the neighborhood, reality kind of sets in.”

There is a concern there are houses quite a distance from the community. Benjamin Court was cited as a main area of concern, with one resident raising concerns of no parking. Potential issues of parking on one side of the street, such as a resident being unhappy someone is parking in front of their house, was also raised.

A final credit release of $32,471.13 was approved for Estate at Maple Ridge, following the completion of required improvements, confirmed by Jeffery Ott, township engineer.

A time extension of 365 days, ending Dec. 7, 2024, was approved for Field at Indian Creek Annex.
