Joanne R. Kraynick, 90, of Whitehall, died Nov. 2, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late John Kraynick for 69 years.

Born in North Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Makovetz) Holena.

She was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School where she earned the highest typing award.

She was a secretary at PPL Electric. She worked at Mail Well Envelopes for 20 years until she retired in 1995.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a volunteer pierogie maker at St. John’s Ukrainian Church, Northampton.

She is survived by three sons, Richard and wife Sue, Stephen and wife Jane and Joseph; two daughters, Patricia Seier and companion Gail Jerdon and Joanne Mottau and husband Scott; a daughter-in-law, Dianna; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, John; three brothers, Albert, Joseph and Francis; and a granddaughter, Rachelle.

There will be a calling hour 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 and 8:15-9:15 a.m. Nov. 10 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua.
