St. Luke’s D&L “RaceFest” is bringing a full marathon back to the Lehigh Valley! We’re also hosting a marathon relay, half marathon run, and half marathon walk all on the same day. Join Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor on Sunday, November 12 for a race weekend to remember! We’re recruiting volunteers to help in various roles, locations, time frames, and dates. Hardworking volunteers are needed on Fridays to assist with unloading the van of food donations and stocking shelves in the pantry at Hispanic Center of Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem. Volunteers will bring down the donation, weigh and organize the food on shelves. This is a great opportunity for groups to volunteer together! Share the joy of the holiday season! Volunteers needed to lead guests to see the Trees of Historic Bethlehem: The Finer Things exhibit offered from November to early January. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites will display 25 festive trees decorated by members of the Bethlehem Garden Club. Elegant. Luxurious. Opulent. In search of experienced volunteers to organize a committee that will run our 2025 K9 Officer Calendar fundraiser. Release date scheduled by K9 Kop Project for Sept 2024. New Bethany has opportunities to help assemble kits for our 26th annual Luminaria Night! This is a great opportunity for groups and school students to volunteer together. Volunteers will help assemble kits consisting of candles, sand, and paper bags, 4-6 p.m. Mon through Thurs, Oct 23 to Nov 30, at Promenade Shops, (near LL Bean.) Minimum age 16 or 12 with adult. The Whitehall Historical Preservation Society needs assistance with fall clean up on Sunday, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Outside activities include raking, painting, holiday decorations and other tasks as needed. Do you like to wrap gifts? Women of Excellence Bethlehem is in need of up to 40 volunteers per shift/per day to assist with the sorting and wrapping of gifts beginning on Nov 2 and running through Dec 15. Assistance will be needed at the distribution event on Saturday, Dec 16 starting at 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Minimum age 13 with adult. Community service hours accepted for students.
