Ann F. Mulqueen

Ann F. Mulqueen, 85, of Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown, formerly of Macungie, died Oct. 21, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Mulqueen.

Born Jan. 22, 1938, in Edgartown, Dukes County, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Leonard A. and Emily C. (Frasier) Hendrickson.

She was a medical technician at Lehigh Valley Heart Care Group, Allentown, for 20 years before retiring.

A native of Martha’s Vineyard, she fell in love with a war hero from Pennsylvania and married Bill in 1960.

After having two children in Massachusetts, the entire family moved to Kutztown.

She thrived in her new home, raising her children and perfecting her culinary skills, her artistry with watercolors, and her tennis backhand with her many friends from the Women’s Club, Kutztown.

She even accompanied Bill to an audience with Prince Phillip in London.

Alas, the passion of her first marriage eventually cooled, and following a divorce and a period of contemplation, she found her second love, Thomas.

They built a house together in Orefield, raised a wonderful little Dachshund, and she enjoyed travel with Tom, whether to the Jersey Shore or cruises around the world with their friends.

She deeply loved her kids and grandkids and was loved by all her family.

Her survivors include children Alice E. “Lisa” Guinther of Boulder, Colo., and Stuart H. Guinther (Kim) of Kutztown; sister Susan Leininger of Womelsdorf; stepchildren Thomas A. Mulqueen Jr. (Cheryl) of Downingtown, Patrice A. Mulqueen (Danny Lauer) of Stroudsburg, and Michael J. Mulqueen (Pedro Blanco) of Oakland Park, Fla.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
