Are you looking for some unique Christmas gifts? Come visit the Salisbury Elementary School vendor fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at Salisbury High School. There will be homemade candy, custom printed ornaments and glassware, candles, quilts and quilted items and themed baskets just to name a few. You might find the perfect gift for those hard to shop for friends on your list.
Salisbury Township schools will be closed Nov. 7 for a professional development day. That is also Election Day, so don’t forget to get out and vote.
There is an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the administration building, immediately followed by a finance committee meeting.
There is still time to register for the SES Veterans Day celebration Nov. 10. If you are a veteran living in Salisbury Township you must register by Nov. 3 to join our morning walkway greeting. Call the elementary school at 610-791-2800 for more information.
The SHS fall theater comedy play “Hay Fever,” written by Noel Coward, will run 7 p.m. Nov. 9-11 and 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Come out and support our students and have a fun night out as well.
The November school board meeting is scheduled 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the administration building.
Leaf collection began this week in the township and will continue through the beginning of December. Please place your leaves (no branches) along the side of the road to make it easier to vacuum them. Salisbury Township will post on its website where the crews will be working each week.
The Salisbury yard waste drop-off sites are only open for a few more weeks.
The Franko site will be open Nov. 2, 4 and 13. Devonshire will be open Nov. 6, 9 and 11. As always, hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
