Camelot for Children is seeking event planning help so they can continue enriching the lives of children with special needs through free, year-round social and educational activities. Partner with staff and Board members to coordinate planning, resource needs, event marketing, on-site oversight and post-event debrief for the annual fundraising event, “Bring in the Magic Gala”, to be held in April 2024 at The Vault in Allentown. St. Luke’s D&L “RaceFest” is bringing a full marathon back to the Lehigh Valley! We’re also hosting a marathon relay, half marathon run, and half marathon walk all on the same day. Join Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor on Sunday, November 12 for a race weekend to remember! We’re recruiting volunteers to help in various roles, locations, time frames, and dates. New Bethany has opportunities to help assemble kits for our 26th annual Luminaria Night! This is a great opportunity for groups and school students to volunteer together. Volunteers will help assemble kits consisting of candles, sand, and paper bags, 4-6 p.m. Mon through Thurs, Oct 23 to Nov 30, at Promenade Shops, (near LL Bean.) Minimum age 16 or 10 with adult. Are you ready & able to help students reach their full potential? Northeast Community Center, Bethlehem, is seeking tutors to assist children in grades 1-8 who attend our After School Homework Club program. Elementary students attend the program 3:45-5 p.m. on Mon & Wed, and middle school students attend 3:15-4:30 p.m. on Tue and Thu during the school year. Background checks required. The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, Easton, is looking for volunteers who can pick up donations on Thursday mornings (using our truck), and then drive back to CAHW to help unload the truck.
