Egypt/Cementon: Halloween party set for Oct. 28
Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, will host a Halloween party 8-11 p.m. Oct. 28 featuring the band Circuit Breakers. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
Upcoming concerts at the fire company include Alias 7-10 p.m. Nov. 10 and Bryant Brothers 6-10 p.m. Nov. 17.
All three events are open to the public. There is a cost.

Reminder: Whitehall Fire Department’s final Haunted Parkway weekend will be held 7-11 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St. Refreshments and free parking will be available.
Tickets for this cash-only event will be sold at Whitehall Parkway. Admission is free for children ages 5 and younger.

Join your friends and neighbors at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St., for a fall barbecue dinner 4-6 p.m. Nov. 5 by Bad Bones BBQ. Menu choices include barbecue chicken or pulled pork sandwich, pasta salad and parsley potatoes. Beverages and a bake sale will be available.

Also of note, the park’s new pickleball courts are available Fridays through Sundays.

Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, will present a concert by James Supra and the Sara Ayers Trio 7 p.m. Nov. 10.
Members attend free, but there is a cost for guests.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, is holding a gift card fundraiser. All orders must be received by Nov. 26 and will be ready for pickup at the church by Dec. 3.

Save the date: The youth group’s roast beef lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 19. The meal includes roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables, rolls and dessert.

Laurel Fire Company will serve breakfast 8-11:30 a.m. Nov. 19. The menu includes plain scrambled eggs, scrambled western eggs, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, pork roll, home fries, French toast, coffee, chocolate milk, apple juice and orange juice.
There is a cost, but breakfast is free for children age 4 and younger.

Whitehall Lions Club’s annual luminaria fundraiser has begun. Light up your neighborhood with the warm glow of luminarias this holiday season.
Luminaria kit orders must be received by Nov. 4 and will be delivered the week of Dec. 4.
Proceeds will benefit families affected by pediatric cancer.
