District News: Autumn Antics fun continues at Zephyr
Autumn Antics at Zephyr Elementary School is here!
Zephyr Elementary students will continue to learn to stand up against destructive decisions through Oct. 27 and celebrate the end of the week with a costume parade at the stadium Oct. 26.
Oct. 26: Wear neon colors. Pack your Halloween costume to bring to school.
Parents/guardians are invited to also celebrate by watching the parade 2-2:30 p.m. from the bleachers at the stadium.
Oct. 27: Wear spooky colors of orange and black for Halloween.

Join Zephyr Nation in promoting school spirit by dressing in neon/construction for the Cement Belt Challenge Oct. 27.

Do you like cheering? There will be a cheer camp for youth in kindergarten through sixth grade, set for 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 12 in the gymnasium at Zephyr Elementary. Learn cheers and a dance to perform at the youth night basketball game.

Reading Olympics is coming to Zephyr. Does your child love to read? Does he or she love competition? Zephyr Elementary’s librarian, Ms. Matejcek, is looking for a group of avid readers to lead the team.
The team will get together Wednesdays after school in preparation for a regional competition in the spring.

Whitehall-Coplay School District is hiring to fill multiple traffic monitor positions across the campus. These individuals will be responsible for regulating traffic throughout the campus during peak times of vehicular flow.
These positions are two hours per day at $15 per hour, approximately 6:50-8:50 a.m., on all student days.

Keeping your child busy, focusing on a routine and having an interest in constant improvement are fundamental to future academic success. There is much to be gained through extracurricular activities that positively impact the academic performance and overall well-being of a child.
