SEPT. 30
A welfare check was conducted in the 1100 block of Hokendauqua Street.
A dog was found along the Ironton Rail Trail.
The department assisted Northampton police with a report of a shooting in the 300 block of East Ninth Street. The incident was determined to be an attempted homicide and suicide, police said.
OCT. 1
A noise complaint brought police to the unit block of North Second Street.
Officers were on the scene of a hit and run in the unit block of North Second Street.
A welfare check was conducted for two people on the ground in the gazebo in the 200 block of Chestnut Street.
The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a traffic stop at Second and Chapel streets, Catasauqua. The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

A reported disturbance brought police to the 200 block of Chestnut Street.
Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity in the unit block of North Fourth Street.
A resident in the unit block of North Fourth Street said items were taken from her front porch.
Police responded to a report of a stolen purse in the unit block of North Third Street.

Officers performed a drug arrest in the 100 block of South Second Street.
A report of harassment brought police to the unit block of North Fourth Street.
The department responded to a report of an illegally parked vehicle in the unit block of North Fifth Street.
OCT. 4
An alarm in the 200 block of Chestnut Street brought police to the scene.
Officers stopped a bicyclist riding down Chestnut Street with no reflectors or lights who was almost struck by a vehicle. The bicyclist fled the scene as the officer checked his identification. The subject has an active warrant in Florida but was not pursued since the warrant was in-state pickup only.

Police implemented an abatement notice from code enforcement in the 100 block of South Second Street and told those on the premises to vacate.
A building check was conducted in the 100 block of South Second Street.
A cellphone was found in the area of Ruch and Chestnut streets. The owner was located.
The department assisted North Catasauqua police in attempting to place a man in custody for multiple felony warrants in the 1100 block of Railroad Street, North Catasauqua.

Officers issued a verbal warning to a male riding a bicycle with no lights in the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

Officers investigated a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 800 block of Catherine Drive.

A couple at Coplay Parkway after hours was advised the park was closed and told to move along.

The department took a man with an active warrant into custody after being discharged from Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking.
