Salisbury High School boys basketball will continue to hold open gyms 3-5 p.m. on the following Mondays and Wednesdays: Oct. 25, Oct. 30, Nov. 1, Nov. 6 and Nov. 8. These open gyms are for boys in grades 9-12. For questions, reach out to Coach Weaver at jweaver@salisburysd.org.
The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at SHS. The truck will be there for pick up 12:30 p.m. so please don’t be late. For a list of acceptable items, visit clothingdrive.net.
It’s almost Homecoming weekend. The annual homecoming parade will be held Oct. 26 with the parade departing Salisbury Elementary School 5:15 p.m. heading to SHS. Immediately following will be the SHS bonfire 6:30 p.m. Students will need their ID to attend. The Homecoming game will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27.
Trick-or-treat will be held in the township 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 27. This year the timing is slightly different to allow those students going to the football game ample time to have some extra fun. Remember that evening to be extra observant when traveling home as kids will be on the streets.
The SHS fall theater comedy “Hay Fever” will be performed 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 and 2 p.m. Nov. 11. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online via the QR code on the district social media posts.
Looking forward, there will be no school Nov. 7 as it is a professional development day for teachers.
The next curriculum and technology committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 8 immediately followed by the school board meeting. Both meetings will be held at the administration building.
The Devonshire drop-off site will be open Oct. 26 and 28 and the Franko site will be open Oct. 30 and Nov. 2 and 4. Hours will remain 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Please note there are only a few more weeks the recycling drop off centers will be open this year.
