SCHOOLS CLOSED: All BASD schools will be closed Nov. 7. ALL HS and MS will have a three hour delayed opening Nov. 8.
STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Emily Broadhead is in Grade 5 at Miller Heights ES. Emily is very caring, friendly and kind. Emily enjoys learning, helping others, and always tries her best with her schoolwork.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Eric Scipio is a custodian at Liberty HS. Eric goes above and beyond in his position. Besides being a member of the custodial staff, he is a friendly helpful member of the BASD team to students, staff and families.
ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Maria Estojak graduated Liberty HS in 2019. She is currently teaching second grade at Thomas Jefferson ES.
LIBERTY VS FREEDOM FOOTBALL GAME: The big game will be on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the BASD Stadium. Contact the Liberty HS Athletic office for tickets.
PRE-K PROVIDERS: BASD Office of Equity Initiatives will host a workshop on Preparing Your Students for Kindergarten Nov. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Northeast MS. Dinner will be provided. Visit the BASD Facebook page for a QR code to rsvp.

LIBERTY THEATRE: The Liberty HS Theatre will present the play “Radium Girls” about the young women who painted luminous dial watches in the 1920s, until the workers began to fall ill with radium sickness, and their fight for justice. Nov. 16, 7 p.m.; Nov. 17, 1 p.m.; and Nov. 18, 7 p.m.

WINTER UNIFORM: Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1, all students in grades K-8 will be required to wear the regulation winter school uniform.
UNIFORM EXCHANGE: Winter uniform exchange, Oct. 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church Hall.
