Constance “Connie” J. Hippensteal, 85, of Bethlehem, died October 21, 2023. Born in Allentown on March 23, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Kincaid) Jura. She was the wife of the late John “Jack” J. Hipppensteal for 64 years.

She was an Allentown Central Catholic H.S. graduate.

She was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Church for 64 years. At the church, she sang with folk groups, was a member of the RCIA and retreat committees and was an Extra Ordinary Minister, taking Holy Communion to the homebound.

She is survived by three sons, Mark of Bethlehem, John Jr. and his wife Kim of Allentown and Thomas and his wife Joanne of Ambler; four grandchildren, Kaley and her husband Evan Horvath, John, Trey and Maddy; and a great-granddaughter, Alice.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ann Detweiler and her husband Barry and Kathleen and her husband Paul White.
