MARINE CORPS MONUMENT CEREMONY: The Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley Marine Corps League detachments and the local Inspector-Instructor staff of India Battery in Allentown will be celebrating the 248th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps in the annual ceremony at Cedar Beach Park, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. The program lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes a ceremony, color guard, bugle rendition of the Marine Corps Hymn, a soloist singing the national anthem, etc. Cake cutting ceremony honoring the oldest and youngest Marines will be held afterward. Cedar Beach Park is located at 24th and Hamilton streets in Allentown.

MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HISTORY: The 105-year-old, 115 ton Corliss steam engine will run at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The most powerful operating water works steam engine in North America pumped eight million gallons of water per day.
