WEISENBERG-LOWHILL Northwestern area churches offering Halloween events

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is having a Trunk or Treat 2-5 p.m. Oct. 21.
There will be candy, games, prizes and free food.
Prizes will be awarded for the best trunk.

The church is accepting orders for its raised cake sale until Oct. 22.
Pick up will be 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28 at the church.

The church is also taking orders until the end of October for its holiday candy sale.
Choose either butter meltaways, peanut butter balls, peppermint bark, peanut clusters, raisin clusters, sweet and salty, chocolate covered pretzels, or nonpareils.
Candies are available in half pound and pound containers covered in milk, dark and white chocolate.
Candy will be available for pick up the week of Nov. 19.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will have its annual Trunk or Treat 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 28.
All youth are invited to participate. Come dressed in your Halloween costume.
Invite friends and bring your family for a fun night of truck or treating throughout the parking lot.
The church will once again have its potluck Veterans Day luncheon at noon Nov. 12.
They will be thanking this nation’s veterans for their service, as well as thanking all those who volunteer around the church. The church will be providing turkey, potato stuffing, and ham.
Consider donating items to help make the turkeys or items for the stuffing.
Orders for a quart of potato filling will be accepted until Nov. 5.
Pickup will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12.
Volunteers are needed to prep vegetables to make potato filling, peel and cut potatoes, onions, parsley, etc. and set up tables in Fellowship Room at 9 a.m. Nov. 11.
They are also needed on Nov. 12 to set up food, serve food and clean up.
Drop order forms and money off at the church office.
The church will also be hosting Vince’s Famous Cheesesteak Food Truck 3-7 p.m. Nov. 14 in the parking lot.
Pick up dinner and dessert.
Proceeds help fund church property projects.

The Social Ministry at Weisenberg Church is planning a Fall Foliage Walk to benefit Family Promise of the Lehigh Valley at 9 a.m. Oct. 21 at Weisenberg Park, Route 863 and Lyon Valley Road. Rain date is noon Oct. 22.
Puppies are welcome, if on a leash.
Donations will be taken.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company is taking orders until 5 p.m. Oct. 24 for its hoagie sale.
Choose between Italian, with onions and peppers, or onion and no peppers or peppers and no onions or no onions or peppers; ham and American cheese; turkey; roast beef or tuna salad.
Ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.
Hoagie pickup is from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 2 at the fire station.

The Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society will have its Halloween Spooktacular 12:30-5 p.m. Oct. 22 at 4585 Werley’s Corner Road, New Tripoli.
They will be offering a trunk or treat, scavenger hunt for all ages with prizes, a scarecrow decorating contest, face and pumpkin painting and guessing contests.
Train rides and pedal pulls will be provided by the Old Time Plow Boys.
Food will be available for purchase.

Scarecrow drop-off is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21.
