Nancy J. Miller
Nancy J. Miller, 69, of Allentown, died peacefully Oct. 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
She and her husband, the Rev. Carey L., celebrated 46 years of marriage on June 11.
Born Oct. 18, 1953, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. Jr. and Moira K. (Kelly) Scott.
A 1971 graduate of Whitehall High School, she continued her education at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Kutztown University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in secondary education.
She spent more than 20 years as an instructional assistant for Northampton School District, where she also spent over 15 years as the scorekeeper for the high school and club swim teams.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked at the Lutheran Archives Center in Philadelphia for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed crafting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Phillies.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Scott and wife, Madlen, and Joshua; daughter Kelly Whitt and husband, Robert; grandchildren Oliver, Charlton, Archer, Emilia, Thea and William; brothers Thomas Scott, and Steven Scott and wife, Eileen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Grayson.
Family and friends may call 9-11 a.m. Oct. 21 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. in the church.
Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation at support.pkdcure.org/NancyMiller, in her loving memory.
