Janice L. Liscka, 86, of Schnecksville, died peacefully Oct. 15, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown.

She was the loving wife of the late John J. “Jack” Liscka Jr.

Born Dec. 30, 1936, in Trexlertown, she was the daughter of the late Earl M. Nothstein Sr. and Sallie L. (McClellan) Nothstein.

She was the co-owner and operator of the former Village Fashions, Schnecksville, for 31 years before retiring in 1996.

After her formal retirement, she continued as a bookkeeper for Imperial Auto Sales, Schnecksville, until her death.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed by everyone who knew her and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and selflessness.

Her survivors include daughters Deborah A. Wenner and her husband, Richard, of Schnecksville, Roseann J. Horn and her husband, George, of Schnecksville; son, Mark J. Liscka and his companion, Michele Jones, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Amber, Taylor, Paige, Blaire, Jonathan and George; great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Cole and Jax; brother Wayne R. Nothstein of Wescosville; and sister-in-law Leona F. Nothstein of Allentown.

She was predeceased by a sister Geraldine M. Eisenhard, and brother, Earl M. Nothstein Jr.

Her memorial service will be noon Oct. 19 at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10:30-11:45 a.m. Thursday in the church narthex.
