The music department at Mansfield, a Commonwealth University, Mansfield, presented its annual holiday choral concert in December 2022 in Steadman Theatre on campus.

“Rejoice!” provided the opportunity to present uplifting choral works.

More than 100 singers and instrumentalists, including Michaiah Watkins from Schnecksville, was in the five university choirs: Grace Notes, Steadman Singers, Festival Chorus, Chamber Singers, and the Concert Choir, which took

Peggy Dettwiler, producer and director, programmed music from historical classics to popular favorites that celebrated the seasons of Winter, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.

Organ accompaniment was by James Reifinger, Mansfield’s new professor of music education and organ.

The concert closed with “Hope for Resolution” by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory with singers encircling the auditorium.
