Nancy J. Miller, 69, of Allentown, died peacefully Oct. 11, 2023, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Rev. Carey L. Miller for 46 years on June 11. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. Jr. and Moira K. (Kelly) Scott.

She was a 1971 graduate of Whitehall High School. She continued her education at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Kutztown University and earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education.

She spent over 20 years working as an instructional assistant for Northampton School District, where she also spent over 15 years working as the scorekeeper for the high school and club swim teams.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked at the Lutheran Archives Center in Philadelphia for over 20 years.

She enjoyed crafting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and watching the Phillies.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Scott and his wife, Madlen, Joshua; daughter, Kelly Whitt and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Oliver, Charlton, Archer, Emilia, Thea, William; brothers, Thomas Scott, Steven Scott and his wife, Eileen; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Grayson.

Family and friends may call 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 21 in the church.
