During the regularly scheduled Macungie Borough Council meeting Oct. 16, Macungie Volunteer Fire Department presented financial records from an auditor. Also included were the members’ attendance and training activities. Council will review the paperwork.
Macungie Institute’s Manager Darlene Misselbeck provided an update on activities. There were 14 rentals in September with 20 events hosted. The Macungie Institute also provides free events of which there were 21.
Events include a book club, monthly Fiber Arts Club, Pinochle and Mahjong and bingo. There will be a wine and cheese tasting event as well as a bus trip to Lancaster.
Many holiday events are also on the books.
Council has approved the project engineer for the South Church Street and Hickory Street bridge projects – Barry Isett & Associates, Inc.
An executive session was held regarding real estate, legal and personnel issues.
