Elect common sense leadership to school board

To the Editor:

The race for the East Penn School Board has been marred by accusations of extremism from some of our community’s loudest, most divisive voices.

Unfortunately, these loud voices are attempting to cover up the failed leadership of this board, and its current President Joshua Levinson, by attempting to smear candidates who believe that it is time for a change.

We deserve to have school board members who are committed to and focused on issues specific to our district and who have a deep history of being involved and engaged in our community.

While the political parties and PACs like Defend East Penn, want to continue to run the same old playbook offering no solutions and continuing to divide the community, we are fortunate to have candidates who are out listening to parents, teachers, students and other community members, and who are ready to roll up their sleeves, check their politics at the door, and do the hard work of making sure our district remains as strong as possible.

I encourage East Penn voters to elect Paul Barbehenn, Kristofer DePaolo, Lawrence Huyssen, Matt Mull and Angelic Schneider to provide common sense leadership we can trust.
