Family: Parents Meredith and Ted Dougherty and brother Elliot

Favorite subject: I’ve always enjoyed English as it allows a great amount of creative freedom and ability to expand my knowledge when it comes to things like reading and writing which I’ve always appreciated.

Activities: I’m an active member of our school newspaper, Poetry Club, Art Club, Mental Health Club and National Honors Society.

Next steps: I plan on attending a 4-year college to major in journalism.

Career goals: I want to become a journalist and later down the line my own independent author. Writing has always been very important to me.

Heroes: My parents and grandparents have always supported me in every possible way and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, exploring nature, etc.

Volunteer work: I enjoyed working at Celtic Classic to help give back to my community.

Likes: Mac ‘n cheese, shoes, candles

Dislikes: Broccoli

Greatest accomplishment (so far): One of my greatest accomplishments has been helping to produce our 2022-2023 Liberty HS senior magazine. After all of the hard work and dedication it was amazing to see that in print.

Advice for peers: Allow room for mistakes. No one is perfect and giving yourself room to grow will only help you to improve in every aspect of your life.
