The Emmaus girls cross country team put in another dominant performance last week while picking up three more wins to improve to 12-0 this season.
The first six runners to cross the finish line were Hornets at last week’s meet at Camp Olympic. Payton Campbell led the way in 20:10 with teammate Mady McCartney just one second behind. Brooke Miller was third, Addison Johnson fourth and Sophia Kovalski fifth to round out the scoring. Isabella Scarlata finished sixth.
In team results Emmaus took down East Stroudsburg North, East Stroudsburg South and Stroudsburg all by 15-50 scores.
The Emmaus boys team also went 3-0 at the meet, beating Stroudsburg 15-48, ES North 15-47 and ES South 15-50 to improve to 11-1 this season.
The Hornets had the top three finishers in the boys race as Jared Petre broke the tape in 17:40, followed by teammates Conor Fisher and Richard Will. Ryan Fach (sixth overall) and Connor Miller (seventh) rounded out the scoring for the Hornet boys.
Just one more regular season meet remains before the postseason begins with the East Penn Conference Championship Oct. 17 at DeSales University. District championships are slated for eight days later, Oct. 25 at DeSales.
