“Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live!: King For A Day,” 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The touring production is based on “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” an animated musical television series for pre-school children. The No. 1 PBS KIDS TV and Emmy Award-winning series, which debuted in 2012, is based on the “Neighborhood of Make-Believe” from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” the family television series (1968-2001) created and hosted by Fred Rogers. “Daniel Tiger” was renewed for a sixth season in 2022. In the stage show, Daniel Tiger and his friends, including Join Daniel, O the Owl, Miss Elaina, Katerina Kittycat and Prince Wednesday, are hopping back on board Trolley for a brand new adventure. The beloved characters come alive on stage to captivate with new songs, as well as fan-favorites from the TV show, including the beloved “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,” to sing along to. The show teaches lessons of kindness, helping others and being a friend. The live theatrical production is filled with music, dancing and surprises that will warm the hearts of preschoolers, parents and grandparents alike. “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Live In Concert,” 6 p.m. Oct. 15, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The screening of the Academy Award-winning animated film is paired with musicians and turntables featuring a DJ scratcher on stage. Emmy winner Daniel Pemberton composed a score of original music complimented with song contributions by Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith and Nicki Minaj. Joining the tour is The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra led by conductor Emily Marshall. “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, an Afro-Latinx teen bitten by a radioactive spider, who gains superhero powers. He’s joined by spider-heroes from parallel universes.
