The volleyball postseason will feature all three city teams this year, as Liberty, Freedom and Bethlehem Catholic have all qualified for districts.
The question that comes in the final week of the regular season is if all three teams can reach the EPC tournament?
Liberty (14-2, 13-2) is already locked in both, the league and district tournament, as they unpack the regular season schedule with Nazareth and Freedom this week.
The Hurricanes swept the Blue Eagles on Monday to register their sixth straight win of the season.
The Hurricanes are locked into one of the top four seeds in the league race, but city rival Freedom hopes they can break in the league tournament as well.
The Patriots (8-8, 8-6) close out the season with Bethlehem Catholic and Liberty, as they’re in a race with Easton (11-6, 9-5) and Becahi (7-8, 6-8) for the final spot in leagues. The Hawks, as mentioned, have Freedom on Tuesday and finish with Dieruff. Even if Becahi finishes below .500 in the league or overall, the Hawks would still qualify for districts in the 3A classification because of minimum amount of teams required for the district bracket.
The top eight teams in the conference advance to the league tournament, which is set to begin on Saturday.
