Parkland Library offering a variety of programs

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering baby story time for kids ages birth to 15 months, with an adult caregiver, from 10:30-11 a.m. Oct. 16.

Staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes, and songs - all designed to help babies build important social, motor and early literacy skills.

Toddler Tales for kids ages 18 months to 3-and-a-half, with a caregiver, will be offered 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 17 and 18.

There will be stories, rhymes, music and movement.

Preschool Story Time for kids ages 3-5 will take place 11-11:45 a.m. Oct. 18.

There will be story time and craft.

Short Story Society will meet to discuss the novel, “A Good Man is Hard to Find,” by Flannery O’Connor, 3-4 p.m. on Oct. 12.

Teen Spooky Cookie Decorating for kids in grades five through 12 will be offered 1-2 p.m. Oct. 14.

All supplies for decorating the spooky cookies will be provided.

A kids yoga story time for ages 4-10 with yoga instructor Larissa Noto, from The Lovely Little Lotus, will take place 4:30-5 p.m. Oct. 16.

Teen’s Dungeon and Dragon Night for kids in grades 7-12 will take place 6-8 p.m. Oct. 16.

The library book club for adults will meet to discuss the novel, “The Secret History,” by Donna Tartt, from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 17.

The teen drawing club for students in grades five through 10 will take place 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18.

Drawing materials and snacks will be provided.

Adults, join library staff for DIY Day: Fall Gnomes 10:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 19.

All materials and supplies provided.

The library will be hosting Learn to play Bunco for teens and adults 1-3 p.m. Oct. 19.

This game involves trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice to achieve a Bunco.

The Young Critics Book Club will meet to discuss the novel, “Wild Wings,” by Gil Lewis, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
