Nancy Marie Clauser
Nancy Marie Clauser, just shy of 79, died Oct. 5, 2023.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dureme M. (Hosier) Kunkel.
A 1962 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, she was a school aide at Parkland School District until retiring.
Before that, she was a secretary at Galco, was an executive secretary to the president of Knoll International, was a secretary to the purchasing manager at Lehigh Valley Dairy and was a secretary at Atlas Cement.
She was a member of Cedar United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.
She sang with the choir and was involved with the Senior Living Center Choir, Good Vibrations.
Above all, her family was her utmost priority.
She loved her husband of 50 years, her daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law more than anything.
Her smile and laugh were unmistakable and infectious, a true blessing to all who knew her.
She enjoyed selling Avon door to door for many years, was involved in all her daughter’s activities, especially Girl Scouts, softball, band, college and beyond.
Her love of music and her beautiful soprano voice was passed down to her greatest joy - her granddaughter Kaida.
She enjoyed being active, could often be seen walking in the neighborhood and doing exercise classes.
She loved her home, gardening, reading a Daniel Steele book and being around her pool with her family and friends.
She enjoyed assisting her husband with many Kuhnsville Lions Club’s activities and fundraisers.
She is survived by her husband, Dale B. Clauser; daughter Wendy Marie Heintzelman and her husband. Dave; granddaughter Kaida Marie Heintzelman; sister Bobbetta Edwards and her husband, John; nieces and nephews; cousins, and friends who were like her family.
She was predeceased by brothers Donald Roger and Glenn Kunkel.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Oct. 14 in J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown.
Calling hour will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
