The Siegfried Railroad Station Museum on West 21st Street will be open for the last time this year 1-4 p.m. Oct. 15. The station, built in 1876, houses artifacts of Northampton and the surrounding area.
There are permanent displays and special exhibits each year. This year, veterans of World War II continue to be honored. There are four scrapbooks with pictures of men and women who served in the war and were printed in local newspapers. There is also an exhibit of the Haff Hospital.
Northampton Area Historical Society, which calls the station its home, is offering some of the items it sells at a discount. T-shirts, Amptennians and Christmas balls are some of the items available.
