Norma Steckel, 96, of Allentown, died Oct. 5, 2023. She was the wife of the late Harry Steckel for 46 years.

She was a daughter of the late Henry and Carrie (Ricker) Bartholomew of Fullerton.

She was a Whitehall High School graduate. She earned a teaching degree at East Stroudsburg Teachers College.

She taught English and physical education at William Allen High School. She was a reading tutor at Louis E. Dieruff High School.

She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan; two sons, Scott and Timothy; and three grandchildren, Eric, Matthew and Paige.

She was predeceased by a sister, Eve Renninger; and a brother, Philip Bartholomew.
