Nicholas J. Miklos, 95, of Emmaus, died Oct. 7, 2023. He was the husband of Sandra A. (Steinbicker) Miklos for 64 years. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Bednar) Miklos and was the last survivor of 10 children.
He attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church, both in Emmaus.
He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1947, where he was an outstanding athlete.
He started work at the Emaus Phone Company in 1945 and retired from Verizon in 1989.
He served his country as a U.S. Army medic during the Korean War.
He loved traveling the world and polkas.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Jim, of Macungie, David, of Coopersburg; daughters, Dr. Carol, of Macungie, Mary and her husband, John De Dominicis, of Macungie and their daughter Claire, Pop Pop’s granddaughter and light of his life; granddogs, Lily, Ben, Clyde and Pierre.
