Howard J. Giering III, 63, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 6, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Cindy L. (Ashburner) Gehret-Giering for 25 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Howard J. Giering Jr. and Sara (Witmer) Giering-Colecio.

He was a mechanic for Muller-Martini Corporation, Allentown, for many years until he retired.

He was a member of Blue Mountain Fish and Game Association, Walnutport.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three stepsons, Jason P. Gehret and wife Melissa of Nazareth, Joshua J. Gehret and wife Stephanie of Walnutport and Jeffrey L. Gehret and wife Kelly of Bethlehem; four stepgrandchildren; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Peggy and husband Richard Wolf of Alabama.
