Betty Mae Zerfass, 90, of Emmaus, died Oct. 9, 2023, at Complete Care at Lehigh Center, Macungie. She was the wife of the late Clarence F. Zerfass. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Verna (Spangler) Conrad.

She worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson’s before going back to school and becoming a nurse’s aide at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1993.

She is survived by daughters, April Derr, of Mertztown, Joanne Volkert and her husband, Robert, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Randy, Erik, Monica, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Cody, Nickolas, Parker, Callaghan, Noelle.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lehigh County Senior Center, 333 Ridge St., Emmaus, 18049.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at Coplay Cemetery, Coplay.
