Michael Bacon, born Dec. 22, 1949, and Kevin Bacon, born July 8, 1958, began playing music together as boys. The Philadelphia natives have released eight albums, starting with “Forosoco” (1997), and one EP, “Erato” (2022). They call their sound, “Forosoco,” as in folk, rock, soul, country. Michael Bacon, associate professor of music, Lehman College, City University of New York, is an Emmy-winning composer of hundreds of scores for films and television shows. He and his wife Betsy Maguire-Bacon have one child. Kevin Bacon is an award-winning actor known for, among other feature movies: “Diner” (1982), “Footloose” (1984), “A Few Good Men” (1992), “Apollo 13” (1995), “Crazy, Stupid, Love” (2011) and “Patriots Day” (2016). He turned the “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” trivia game into a podcast, “Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon,” which benefits nonprofits. Kevin Bacon and his wife, actor Kyra Sedgwick, have two children. Danielia Cotton, 7 p.m. Oct. 8, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. Danielia Cotton, born Daniella Brooks, Sept. 24, 1967, is a blues-rock singer-songwriter. Cotton, based in New York City, grew up in Hopewell, N.J. She graduated from the New Jersey School of Performing Arts, received a full scholarship to Bennington College and studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. Cotton has released six studio albums, starting with “Small White Town” (2005), inspired by Hopewell, to “Good Day” (2022), and five EPs. Of her album, “Rare Child” (2008), the New York Times stated: “She’s a belter who can hold back or work her way up to a gospelly blues-rock shout.” Her band includes Danielia Cotton, lead vocals, electric, acoustic rhythm guitars; Marc Copely, lead guitar, backing vocals; Winston Roye, bass, and John Clancy, drums.
