The Parkland girls tennis team improved to 16-0 with a 7-0 win in its penultimate match of the regular season.
The Trojans’ last remaining match was scheduled for Monday against Emmaus, but was postponed two days in a row because of rain.
In the win over Freedom, Parkland’s Alexandria Warsing, Sophie Elijovich and Sophia Petrocelli won singles matches. In doubles play, Moriah Thomas and Vidhi Desai; Aarohi Vaze and Kiera Miles; Ali Silman and Kiana Miles; and Riley Zangari and Belle Mattson won matches in the shut out victory.
Parkland is 14-0 in East Penn Conference matches this season. The team will compete in Thursday’s league tournament before the District 11 postseason begins next week with singles play. Parkland will be the top seed in Class 3A for team districts.
